One of the most important libraries of Florence is the “Oblate” library, Perhaps the oldest library in the city. Built in a former convent (1300), restored just six years ago and opened to the public as a public library, this library is now a vibrant multicultural center for events, concerts, meetings and other recreational activities. On the top floor there is a beautiful terrace overlooking the cathedral with coffee bar and several tables for eating or studying outdoors. Inside and outside of the library, there is free wifi.

Located in a monumental building along the Arno river in Florence, is now the largest library in Italian and among the first in Europe. Quiet and peaceful, the ”Biblioteca Nazionale” is one of the best places to study. Here are periodically hosted exhibitions open to the public.

The Marucelliana Library is one of the most vibrant and fascinating library of Florence. Built in 1700, it was the first library open to the general culture to a wide audience.
